Amazon Reportedly Planning Game Streaming Platform for 2020 |
With the launch of Google Stadia in some regions and Microsoft testing project xCloud, it seems that the future of video games is moving the game streaming direction. Amazon has been very secretive about its own agenda for game streaming, which is intended to be released next year.
While there was no official statement of support in January 2019 for the first time, CNET now claimed that two insiders say Amazon's plans would come out in 2020. Further details were not discussed and Amazon has not yet responded with an official comment. Reports state that Amazon has hired people from other companies for the 'new initiative', which will include streaming games.
Amazon-owned Twitch can also enhance their streaming blueprints. However, for the moment Amazon Prime Members can download free games as part of their membership. You can do this to connect your Amazon Prime service to your account to get free games and loot.
