Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's latest 1.09 patch is rolled out on all platforms, with 12 GB on the console and 20 GB on the PC. The patch also combines an old fan-favorite game mode - according to Gun Game and the US, gamer data-miners have discovered that more fan-favorite maps may be on their way.
Gun-Game Returns To Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward Reduces Footstep Noise

The gun game is a free-for-all style match, where players start with a weak weapon and work their way up to more powerful ones by reaching a few kill counts. A player who reaches a certain level or higher rank in a match wins the game.

Reddit users are busy figuring out what can come from the game to data-mining stats. Reddit user Senescallo, responsible for leaking alleged battle royale modes and maps in modern warfare, has managed to create an image of an incomplete loading screen for the 2007 Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 map, Crash.

Charleintel reported having mined a new map called 'Cargo', which resembles a map of fare weight work, depicted in Modern Warfare's first story mission, Exp Crew Expandable. Neither Activation nor Infinity Ward commented on the leaked information, but it is important to note that while the data may suggest one thing, it does not necessarily translate into a final game.

Modern Warfare update brings back fan-favorite mode, Infinity Ward leaves in the patch note
Another major change that comes through update 1.09 is footstep noise reduction, a topic popular in the modern war community. Charlintel's report states that Infinity Ward's patch notes included what appeared to be an internal note to the Dev Team.

"According to Charlieintel," it's a hot topic in the community, and it's not the change they were expecting to see. "Our core players want to see dramatically reduced volumes."
