Ananya Pandey considers Godfather to be 'inks over-rated' and the reason for doing so will make you your chief in desperation!

Ask any Hollywood fan what their favorite gangster film is, and there are nine out of ten occasions the answer will be The Godfather. The 1972 film, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, is based on the best-selling novel by Mario Pooja by the same name. Centered around an Italian mob family in New York, The Godfather features Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Kahn, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton. Many consider The Godfather to be one of the best films made in Hollywood, winning five Academy Awards, including Best Director, Best Picture and Best Actor (Marlon Brando). The sequel, The Godfather Part II, became even more acclaimed when it came out in 1974.

But for the young Chunky Pandey's daughter Ananya Pandey, The Godfather is not impressive enough. The actress, who made her debut with Tiger Shroff in Student of the Year 2, feels that the film is overrated! The revelation was made during a fun chat with the PINKVILLA website.

Now it is okay for Ananya to think that The Godfather has been scrapped, given that different people may have different opinions about a film, no matter how big a masterpiece. Like Orson Welles' Citizen Kane is considered one of the best movies made in cinema, but was trolled for being bored in an episode of FRIENDS.

But the reason for calling Ananya the godfather weight has nothing to do with not liking the film. He has not even seen the film, and that is overrated!

As expected, fans of The Godfather are not very calm about this, and they took to Twitter to troll the actress.

Interestingly, The Godfather has inspired some films in Bollywood starring top stars. Aamir Khan's Atank Hi A tank, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's Rajneeti, Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, Amitabh Bachchan's Sarkar, Firoz Khan's Dharmatma, Govinda's Zulm's Hukumat have paid tribute to him for this film!
