Pokémon Go Holiday Event Adds New Gen 5 Pokémon

Pokémon Go's holiday event has now gone live and includes the New Gen 5 Pokémon. The event will run until January 1 and will allow players to capture winter-themed Pokémon and complete exclusive field research tasks.

During the holiday event, ice-type Pokémon such as Snailsel, Delibird, and Snort will appear more often in the wild. Players will have the first opportunity to catch Kubchu, a cute Gen 5 polar bear cub with a shiny version of Snow. There are two more Gen 5 Pokemon- Bairik and Cryogonal. However, it should be noted that cryogenic will only appear near Glacier Lure.

Pokémon Go also includes specialized field research work with the new Shadow Pokémon, including Shadow Delibird. With these, players can now catch allolan forms of Vulpix and Sandshray with 7 km eggs.

In 2020, Niantic will introduce a new big adventure feature for Pokémon Go, and next year's first Community Day will take place on January 19.
