Loki - the upcoming Disney + series that follows Tom Hiddleston's Avengers-era version of the Marvel character - has reportedly found a fourth cast member in Gugu Mettha-Raw. She is known for the lead role in the Black Mirror "San Junipero" and the 2013 period drama Belle, and the role of the swan-shaped feather duster castle maid playmate and head header Hannah Schoenfeld in Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast Is playing In the Apple TV + series The Morning Show. There is no official word on her role, while the report claimed that Loki could be cast as Mbytha-Raw on the female lead.
Deadline brings word of the new Loki casting development, noting that Mbitha-Raw joins actor-writers Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers) and Sophia Di Martino (Flowers). Marvel Studios did not offer comment. For now, Hiddleston is the only confirmed member with the producers - Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, Loki writer and listener Michael Waldron (Harmonquest, Rick and Morty), and director Kate Heron (Sex Education) - for complete secrecy. We know that Loki will try to change historical events to suit his agenda using the stolen Tesseract in Avengers: Endgames via Multiverse. Remember, this is the loci in which the character we see in Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok has not grown, so he is much more self-serving. Additionally, Loki's events will be tied up in Doctor Strange at Multiverse of Madness - slated for May 2021 - along with with another Disney + Marvel series, Vandavision.
Before Loki, Mbatha-Raw appeared in the World War II drama, opposite Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland prequel Come Away, with Angelina Jolie, Michael Cane, and David Oyelowo, opposite the comedy-drama Misbehaviour, Keira Knightley and Jesse Buckley Will give. Summerland, with Gamma Anderton.
