Yeh Ballet: Netflix Unveils Release Date, Trailer for Next Indian Movie

Netflix has unveiled the release date on 21 February and the Yeh Bailey trailer is India's next original film. Directed by Soni Taraporewala (Little Zizou), Yeh Ballet is inspired by the "incredible true story of two boys of humble background in Mumbai who conquer their circumstances and make their way to prestigious international ballet schools: Newcomer Manish Chauhan and Achintya Bose. Two boys, dance show winner Nishu and hip-hop rebels and contestant-friend-Asif respectively. The ballet also stars Julian Sands (A Room with a View), Jim Sarbh (Neerja), Danish Hussain (Bard of Blood), Vijay Maurya (Gully Boy), Heba Shah (Afsos), and Kalyan Mule (Nude).

Yeh Ballet is a feature-length 15-minute virtual reality documentary made in 2017 by Taraporevala. In fact, Chauhan is one of the two real-life boys who inspired the film. Taraporewala admitted that in the prepared statement: "Yeh Ballet is inspired by the real story of two young boys who were determined and had big dreams. It is such an awesome and almost unbelievable story that it makes you believe in working with passion towards your goals. I was discovered a few years ago when my son was working with Aman and Gandhi and I was asked if I wanted to direct a VR documentary.

“Of various possible disciplines, I chose it since learning ballet in my youth. I felt connected to his story and immediately wanted to share it with the world. Movies such as Yeh Ballet on a global service like Netflix are expected to spark curiosity about the angelic mystery of ballet, but also demonstrate how dreams, no matter how outrageous, may be realized. "

Taraporewala tapped choreographers Shyamak Davar, Cindy Clay and Vitthal Patil for the Netflix movie. Ankur Tiwari (Gully Boy) has composed the background music. It is a production of Ballet Roy Kapoor Films. Taraporevala is best known for writing or co-writing the Mira Nair films Salaam Bombay !, Mississippi Masala and The Namesake.

Yah Ballet was first announced in April last year with nine other films from the likes of Haha Rukh Khan, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee (Khosla Ka Ghosla!), Ronnie Screwvala (Uri: The Surgical Strike), Farah it was done.
