Activision Planning To Adapt All Of Their Franchises For Mobile Platform
Call of Duty: After the huge success of mobile, activism is clearly trying to develop even more mobile games. During an earnings call, Kodi Johnson, president, and COO of Activision Blizzard, reportedly stated that the company was considering bringing every franchise to mobile.

Johnson said, "A third of our business is already on mobile. We have the largest mobile gaming presence in the West. So we want to build on that leadership position. We feel that doing so is the foundation of strength. [Mobile] is a broad opportunity, and we think not only for Call of Duty nor just for Diablo Amar. He also said that mobile devices are becoming increasingly powerful, which helps in the adoption of the AAA franchise for small screens.
Johnson also said that activism can make mobile games success as it owns some of the most popular titles in gaming. He said, "We're looking at that franchise familiarity and awareness case - they're basically to the tune of hundreds of millions of people. When you approach the franchise properly, they're ready to get in."
Johnson was asked whether Activision would bring Mobile's Overwatch or World and he replied, "In terms of what we will create, you might think that we are looking at all our franchises." We want to do it where it makes sense. "
Activision plans to launch mobile games in three main brackets. The first is a mobile game that can enhance existing gameplay, 'Call of Duty: Mobile'. Johnson said that Call of Duty: Mobile has weapons, maps, and characters from the console version. Likewise, other franchisees may receive mobile adaptations that expand on existing gameplay.
The second bracket will release mobile games that are 'reimages' of an existing console or PC title. Johnson used Heartstone, an example for this category, and stated that there are many ideas of activation in this bracket. And, the final bracket will include a 'true-platform title' that supports cross-play between PC / console and mobile from day one.
