If you are a regular Fortnite player and are planning to shop online today, you can see that the supply has little to do with the drop. In particular, you can see that on opening a loot drop, there are no prizes inside.
Reddit user RosesandFireworks is credited with discovering the Fortnite Supply Drop bug while trying to play a game of Team Rumble. In his post, he shows himself a video of the shooting and opening a supply drop, only to find that a spike trap was the only item inside the drop. While this does not seem like a big deal for a non-Fortnite player, regular players will know that supply drops are always filled with a handful of loot drops.
In response to the Reddit Post, an Epic developer confirmed that Epic would take a look at the supply drop bug, saying, "Thanks to the video, we'll take a look at these miser supply drops." However, at the time of writing, there is no mention of the bug on the Fortnite Community Trello board.
Meanwhile, another Reddit user, Whysomuchtalkingtho, has offered a temporary solution. It seems that the loot is not really missing, but is only stuck down the road. According to Whysomuchtalkingtho and other Reddit users, if this happens to you, you can use a fishing pole or newly added harpoon gun to shoot the field and retrieve your loot.
While we have not been able to confirm this, other Redditors have agreed, commenting on the original post, that this is a valid way to recover your missing supply drop loot.
The launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 has been one for the record book, as the Black Hole event sent the Internet into a fad. In addition, there has been a dispute between Epic and the community as Epic has decided to stop releasing patch notes for the Battle Royal update. However, the recent Star Wars crossover event was well received by the community, offering free Stromtrooper skin to eligible players. With Chapter 2 season 1 set to close in a few weeks, don't forget to complete as many weekly challenges as you can.
