Micron Announces Crucial Ballistix Gaming Memory |
Micron has announced its new Crucial Ballistic Gaming Memory lineup at CES 2020. The company claims that the new lineup will provide higher data transfer speeds and lower latency. It has a built-in heat spreader and enhanced thermal management solutions to maintain peak performance.
The Crucial Ballistix Gaming Memory Series supports variable speeds from 2400MHz to 3600Mhz as well as memory densities starting from 4GB to 32GB. RGB options include 8 zones with 16 LEDs that can be customized. The Crucial Ballistix lineup will be available in desktop (DIMM) and laptop (SODIMM) form factors.
The Crucial Ballistix MAX is the company's flagship offering, providing speeds from 4000MHz to 4400MHz with a density of 8GB and 16GB. Similar to the base version, Ballistic Max supports RGB lighting that can be customized with ASUS Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and MSI Mystic Light software. To take the optimization a step further, Ballistics Max has a removable light bar that can be replaced with 3D printed. The flagship variant desktop (DIMM) will be available in the form factor.
The new lineup will replace the existing Ballistic Sport, Tactical and Elite products from Mira can and launch on 4 February.
