Realme UI Detailed Ahead of Its Official Rollout, Tweaks ColorOS 7 With New Customisations

The Realme UI is supported by a custom interface based on Android 10 and Oppo's ColorOS 7, expanded just days after its official announcement was made in China. The new interface, which will be available on Realme phones, is designed for younger consumers. Realme claims that it has followed the concept of Real Design which is designed to bring a simpler experience to the users. Like Vanilla ColorOS 7, Realme UI will bring proprietary features such as improvements to the 3-finger screenshot option and focus mode. The interface also has a list of wallpapers and custom ringtones.

According to the description given by Realme via a press note, Realme UI has a series of customizations, including system colours, icons, wallpapers, and animations. The custom interface is naturally claimed to have high-saturation and high-brightness colours. App icons provided on the Realme UI use the basic elements of common household items and are customizable in terms of size and shape.

In addition to the ability to customize the size and shape, users on the Realme UI will have the option to customize the icon's internal graphic size - whether they are square or round, large or small.

The Realme UI also includes 11 new wallpapers that are inspired by natural elements - matching different colour schemes of the interface. Realme has also taken advantage of Oppo's Quantum Animation Engine which is available on ColorOS 7 to improve screen frequency and provide a customized experience. In addition, the interface is claimed to have various power-saving features and optimized experience to limit power consumption and performance.

There is a focus mode for users to "temporarily isolate themselves from the outside world" and focus on their important tasks by listening to some relaxing music. The interface also has a 3-finger screenshot option that lets users select a specific area on the screen by touching and holding the screen with three fingers for a few seconds.

Realme UI comes with a personal information security feature, which claims to provide blank notification pages when users request access to a user's personal information. The animation effect is also improved.

It is not clear when the Realme UI will hit the Realme phone. However, the company is likely to make an announcement at the end of last year based on the updated roadmap.

Some user reports have suggested that Realme X2 Pro has already started receiving Realme UI beta updates in China. In addition, Realme X2 users in India will be able to submit their applications for beta testing of the interface from January 20.
