PUBG Mobile Lite is getting a new 0.17.0 update, including payload mode, new weapons, changes to the Varna map and more. The payload mode was first introduced in the standard version of PUBG Mobile in October 2019. The game mode features helicopters and armoured BRDM-2 tanks as well as new weapons including surface-to-air missiles and grenade launchers. It can be played solo or in a maximum of 4 players squads.

The latest update has also introduced some changes to Verna. There are a new spawn island and archaeological site. Cherry blossom trees and picnic baskets added during the Spring Festival have been removed. The awards for this season of PUBG Mobile Lite are based on a new theme called Summer Beach and Ramadan.

PUBG Mobile Lite is also getting new emotions, performance upgrades and bug fixes. Players who purchase new winning passes for the first time will receive additional point cards.
