Punjab Teen Reportedly Spent A Whopping ₹16 Lakh On In-App PUBG Purchases

PUBG is an addictive game. Almost everyone who has played the game will have played it for hours on end. However, most of us don't spend money on this, a lot of money to be exact. Sure, we bought Battle Pass and new skins, but it's not a lot of money.

However, this child from Punjab has taken it too far. According to NDTV, a 17-year-old man from Punjab earned Rs. 16 lakhs from her parents' bank account for making in-app purchases on PUBG Mobile.

Reports also claimed that the money was meant to save his father's life.

The reports also claimed that the teenager had access to three bank accounts that he used to upgrade his PUBG mobile account. He reportedly made the purchase for his associates. The family came to know about this after examining the bank's statements.

The father, who is a government employee with a medical history, told reporters:

He used his (mother's) mobile phone to do all the transactions and deleted the message about the amount debited from the accounts.
The teenager is made to work in a repair shop after the incident.

I cannot let her sit idle at home and not even give her a mobile phone to study.

While this incident may come as news to most people, it is hardly the first time children have spent money on video games.
