Apex Legends to Launch on Mobiles This Year

Apex Legends will make its way to mobile by the end of this year. A video of a conference call to EA CEO Andrew Wilson talking about mobile gaming has been leaked on Twitter by Apex Legends' leaked channel. In the video, Wilson reveals that the company plans to soften Apex Legends - which is currently on PC and console - to mobile by the end of this year. This will be the first Battle Royal game that EA has launched on mobile.
Back in May last year, Electronic Arts (EA) announced plans to bring Apex Legends to mobile without a timeline. Now, according to a video shared by @ApexLatest on Twitter, Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, in a conference call, shared some information about the mobile version of the Battle Royal game. Wilson said the company plans a soft launch for Apex Legends Mobile by the end of this year. A soft launch means that the game will be released to a smaller audience or market, which will allow the company to evaluate the response and status of the game, helping to improve the game before releasing it.

Wilson spoke of plans to bring mobile gaming and many other games to the mobile platform. These games are in various stages of development. Apex Legends (Review), in particular, will be EA's first mobile Battle Royal game to build on PC and console with its success and will enter a market that has so far dominated PUBG Mobile.

Apex Legends Cross-Play, on Nintendo Switch, at Autumn Autumn 2020

Apex Legends was released in February last year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a free to play Battle Royale game. At the time, it grew in popularity due to its new mechanics, like the time ping 'system, which was later adopted by other Battle Royale games, and the ability to honour teammates even after being killed. It also selected characters or 'legends' who also have their own abilities.
So far, EA has not officially shared any information about the mobile version of Apex Legends. And, since it will be a soft launch of the game, it is likely that it will not reach most users by next year.
