Samsung Galaxy A51 May Pack a 5-Megapixel Macro Camera; Galaxy A81 Said to Be in the Works With S Pen Support

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is one of the most leaked smartphones these days. The new Galaxy A-series phones have already been spotted on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certification sites with the model number SM-A515F. Now, a media report has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy A51 will debut with a 5-megapixel macro-lens camera. Another Samsung phone has surfaced on the web carrying model number SM-AN815F. It is believed that the Galaxy A81 S will come with pen support. The South Korean company has so far introduced the S Pen exclusively for its Galaxy Note series.

According to a report by Sammobile, the 5-megapixel macro camera of the Samsung Galaxy A51 will be a part of its quad rear camera setup. The presence of a macro lens can enable Samsung phones to capture shots from close distances and take clear pictures of small objects such as flowers and insects.

In addition to the 5-megapixel macro-lens camera, the Galaxy A51 will include a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 13-megapixel secondary shooter with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel camera with a depth sensor. The phone is also said to have a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It featured as part of a hole-hole design.

A leak-based render of the Samsung Galaxy A51 recently showed its L-shaped rear camera setup. Some case renders hinted at the new camera setup as well as its hole-punch display design. The smartphone is expected to run Android 10 out-of-the-box. In addition, a recent Geekbench listing suggested the presence of the Exynos 9611 SoC.

Moving on from the Galaxy A51, Samsung is also believed to have the Galaxy A81 in the pipeline. The new smartphone may carry the model number SM-A815F, according to Dutch blog GalaxyClub.nl.

Samsung usually has model numbers starting with SM-A in their Galaxy A-series range, while model numbers in the Galaxy Note family start with SM-N. But perhaps for the first time, the company will bring the smartphone with a model number starting with SM-AN. This suggests that the phone may include S Pen support which is exclusive to the Galaxy Note model so far.

The Samsung Galaxy A81 may come as a successor to the Galaxy A80 which was launched earlier this year with a rotating camera. The Galaxy A80 debuted in India as Samsung's new mid-range smartphone in July to counter the likes of OnePlus 7 Pro and Redmi K20 Pro.
