Apple Acknowledges iPhone XR Connectivity Problems in the UK

Media reported that Apple's iPhone XR was released in 2018 - it is experiencing problems with the O2 network as well as in the UK and the iPhone maker has publicly acknowledged the problem. Apple and O2 have confirmed that one of the most popular iPhones is not working as it should be on O2's network.

The iPhone XR completely lost signal several times a day, some O2 customers said on Twitter, the BBC reported on Tuesday.

The problems experienced by many iPhone XR owners are serious, affecting calls, texts, and data usage.

They have also struggled to get a reliable 4G internet connection, with apps like Facebook and Instagram redundant unless there is Wi-Fi.

"We are working closely with our partners to impress some of our customers using the iPhone XR," an O2 spokesperson quoted the BBC as saying.

According to mobile carrier O2 - an IT fix 101 (turning the phone off repeatedly) provides a temporary fix, but it is unclear how long the iPhone XR lasts before connectivity problems.

"We are aware of an issue due to intermittent network connectivity affecting some O2 customers, and we will have an improvement in upcoming software releases," Apple was told by GSMArena.
