CES 2020: Razer Launches Tomahawk Gaming Desktop, Kishi Mobile Gamepad, Sila 5G Router, and More

The razor gave a great performance at the CES 2020 showcasing the fancy razor ever-simulator concept, offering an immersive racing experience with a hydraulic racing platform, full manual control and paddle shift with a steering wheel. But apart from this, the company also launched Razer Kishi Universal Mobile Gaming Controller which is compatible with both Android and iOS phones. Separately, the company showcased the razor Tomahawk gaming desktop with a modular layout that packs up to an Intel Core i9 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Graphics. Finally, Razer also unveiled the Silla 5G home router concept which also doubles as a 5G hotspot.

Razor Tomahawk Gaming Desktop

The Razor Tomahawk is claimed to be the first truly modular desktop system that employs an in-house razor Tomahawk N1 chassis and can fit a newly launched Intel NUC9 rig. But don't cheat the minimalist design with aluminium and glass, because the razor Tomahawk desktop is a Beastie machine packed with a 9th gen octa-core Intel Core i9 processor, paired with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and Dual M. The .2 SSD slot graphics go up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super while handling Wi-Fi 6, 2x Thunderbolt 3 port, 2x Gigabit Ethernet port, 2x HDMI 2.0A port, and 6x USB 3.2 Gen 2 port connectivity. The Razor Tomahawk Gaming Desktop will be available in the first half of 2020, but pricing details have not yet been announced.

Razer Kishi Gamepad

Razor's new Kishi Gamepad takes inspiration from the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers, but it gives a signature Razor design overhaul. However, it does bring some notable upgrades. First, it eliminates latency by connecting to the phone via a wired USB Type-C or Apple Lightning connector interface. Second, it does not need to be charged separately, as it takes juice from the phone itself. Third, it is compatible with a wide range of Android and iOS smartphones.

And oh, it also supports pass-through charging, as the gamepad has a separate port, where you can plug a charging cable to top up your phone's battery simultaneously. The list of compatible phones includes the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and their respective successors, Pixel 2 and later iterations, and the iPhone 6 and newer models. The Razer Kishi GamePad hits shelves in early 2020, but there is no word yet on pricing.

Razor sila 5g router

The Razer Silla 5G home router concept is targeted at gamers whose key priority is the ultra-low-latency network during a gaming session. It employs Razor's proprietary Fastrack engine to deliver high-bandwidth connectivity, and also doubles as a portable 5G hotspot, thanks to a built-in battery. Unexpectedly, it comes with a dedicated game mode to deliver an interrupt-free gameplay experience, and also allows users to prioritize between consoles and PCs. It supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks and has a Qualcomm SDX55 tick at its heart.

And here is the Razor Eraving Simulator concept that was mentioned at the beginning of the article. This is essentially the virtual racing rig of your dreams. It has a hydraulic racing platform and steering wheel with paddle shift. Other features include a surround-view with a 202-degree field-of-view on a 128-inch projection surface provided by dual full-HD projectors for crisp scenes.
