Grand Theft Auto 5 Is Now On Xbox Game Pass

Grand Theft Auto 5 has been added to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service.

Rockstar's incredibly popular open-world crime game is now available as part of the Game Pass subscription service, along with hundreds of other games. The announcement came in a simple post from the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account, which is somewhat out of the blue. Unlike other major additions such as The Witcher 3, GTA 5 has just arrived without warning. The short video in the tweet simply states 'Today is available', so customers should now be able to download it.

The GTA 5 page on Microsoft's website has been updated to add a game pass. It also notes that it is only available on Xbox One, so Game Pass PC users will not be able to join in the fun. You will need to go to Steam or Rockstar's own launcher and buy the game for it.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was released on Xbox One in November 2014 and has seen years of active play thanks to its hugely popular GTA online mode. If you plan on jumping, be sure to check out our GTA 5 Cheat page for some added chaos.

If you're looking for a more modern Rockstar game, then you should look no further than Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the games of our decade and recently updated with the new Monashiner Frontier Pursuit has gone.
