OnePlus Concept One Teased to Sport 'Invisible Camera' With Colour-Shifting Glass Technology |
The OnePlus Concept One, first installed at CES 2020, is teased to come with an "invisible camera" that will feature colour-changing glass protection on top. The Chinese company has released a brief teaser video via its social media channels, in which it is set to unveil next week. Separately, a concept drawing of the OnePlus Concept One is shared by Wired - with a McLaren's Papaya Orange colour pointing to the leather back end.
The official teaser video, posted by the OnePlus Twitter account, shows that the OnePlus Concept One will not show the camera setup from certain angles - thanks to the presence of colour-changing glass technology. The 10-second video also mentions that the phone will not include a camera bump and may have a triple rear camera setup.
According to a Wired report, OnePlus is teaming up with McLaren to bring the same colour-changing glass technology that is featured on high-end car sunroofs and aircraft windows. The glass tint protecting the camera setup on the smartphone is said to change from opaque to transparent when triggered by an electrical signal.
Wired has mentioned that the OnePlus Concept One phone will have the same rear camera specs as the OnePlus 7T Pro. This means that you can expect a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor. Apart from this, the concept drawing of the OnePlus phone shows that the phone has a leather finish at the back along with the stitching.
OnePlus announced last month that Concept One would make its debut on January 7 at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. The smartphone has been offered a "cumbersome" experience.
