Rohan Joshi: Wake N’ Bake Trailer Sets Up AIB Co-Founder’s First Prime Video Stand-Up Special |
Amazon Prime Video has released a trailer for Rohan Joshi's first stand-up comedy special, Wake N 'Bake, which releases on the streaming service globally this Friday. In it, the co-founder of All India Bakchod jokes about marijuana, sex, aging, state-run SSC schools, and the desire to talk marriage with elders. The trailer of Wake N 'Bake partially goes meta to turn the comedy on Joshi, showing how he "honestly" says a lot, and his penchant for pulling up his sleeves. The trailer states that Joshi will also consider privileges, children, cats and texting.
Gadgets 360 was the first to bring Joshi's word to work on an hour-long comedy special back in April last year. Rohan Joshi: Wake N 'Beck was filmed in Mumbai, produced only by Mukid Lauder (OML), which is running alongside Prime Video in India for an annual slate of stand up comedy specials.
"When I tell older people, I don't want to get married, I'm just speaking my truth," Joshi says in the first Wake N 'Bake trailer. "But for some reason, older people see this as a reason. Debate. I have no idea why. Not even once in my life did I say, 'Oh, I don't want to get married. Discuss!' "
Star Trek, Russell Peters, Angry Birds, and more on Prime Video in January
Later, Joshi talks about his immediate love for marijuana: "I came for marijuana in the same way most people come to masturbate: all my life, yuck, I'll never do this pornographic act!" 'Five minutes later I tried… "He finished the joke with a smile and a thumbs up.
Joshi says, "I recently turned 36 years old." "You don't understand how weird it is to be in an age where you belong to the 'Ask The Sexpert' column. So your friends are reading this question [and laughing at it], and I'm liking, "He pretends to add with nervousness,", ha, ha, but what's the answer? ''
Rohan Joshi: Wake N 'Bake is on January 10 on Amazon Prime Video.
