Amazon Prime Video January 2020 Releases: Star Trek: Picard, The Angry Birds Movie 2

Amazon Prime Video has announced a list of 24 titles to be released on its platform in India in January 2020. It includes already known originals such as Star Trek: Picard and Kabir Khan's The Forgotten Army, in addition to The Angry Birds Movie 2 on 24 January - thanks to its partnership with Sony Pictures India - available on 14 January. And Prime Video's January 2020 release list reveals something: Rohan Joshi's first stand-up special, Wake N Beck, will be released on January 10, and comedian Anirban Dasgupta-written miniseries Afsos is slated for January 17.

Speaking of comedians and stand-up specials, there are several international stand-up comedy specials in January 2020 on Prime Video from the likes of Russell Peters, Ilana Glazer (Broad City), Rob Delaney (Mayhem, and Jade Adams). Elsewhere, a third of the former Top Gear trio - and currently the Grand Tour trio in May - James is going on his own in a series dedicated to Japan in May. James May: Our man arrives in Japan on January 3. Finally, Amazon is marketing the Jason Bourne spin-off series Traderstone - January 10 - as an original, even though it originally aired on the USA Network in the USA.

If you're looking for Amazon original content in January 2020, given the success of Brazil's Copa America, there are a few sports documentaries. All or Nothing: The Brazilian National Football Team (CBF) is slated for 31 January. On the same day, there is also a miniseries - Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer - focused on the notorious serial killer named from a female perspective. For children, this is two basic counts - Bug Diaries on January 3, and the Just Add Magic spin-off on January 17, and Bosch's fifth season, New Year's Day.
