OnePlus Unveils New Bug Bounty Programme, Partners With HackerOne to Increase Security Efforts

OnePlus has introduced a new bug bounty program and partnered with HackerOne to help improve its security efforts. The award for being eligible for a bug report will range from $ 50 to $ 7,000 depending on the nature of the defect. OnePlus says it will engage with academics and security professionals to responsibly detect, disclose, and fix issues that may affect the security of OnePlus' systems in the future. The company has partnered with HackerOne as well to continuously defend against threats.

With the increase in phishing and hacking practices, OnePlus is constantly taking measures to prevent potential security threats from potential security data. To this effect, it has introduced a new OnePlus Security Response Center which will engage with top security professionals and academics in the security industry to scan, detect and reveal any security threats to the OnePlus system. This new official body will ensure that a streamlined process is maintained by the researcher and OnePlus to enable quick fixes for the investigative threat. Separately, OnePlus has also partnered with well-known hacker-driven security platform HackerOne to protect the most relevant security vulnerabilities to a wide network of security experts before they are exploited by outside actors. The collaboration will begin as a pilot program, inviting select researchers to test OnePlus' systems against potential threats. The program will go public later in 2020. OnePlus helps OnePlus's systems scan potential threats to gain insights from top security researchers, academic scholars, and independent experts.
