Two New Pokémon Games Debut on Facebook Gaming |
Facebook Gaming has released two new games on its Instant Games platform called Pokémon Tower Battle and Pokémon Medallion Battle. Pokémon Tower Battle, now available worldwide, is a unique take on the Pokémon franchise, where players compete against each other by stacking Pokémon to build the longest Pokémon Towers. As players discover, catch and level rare Pokemon, they can compete against friends or in a global leaderboard in real-time.
Pokémon Medallion Battle, now available to players in the Asia-Pacific region, is a digital card battle strategy game.
In the game, the trainers collect Pokémon as medals, battle and travel with their teammates to win the gym badges and complete their "Pokédex".
Players can also discover new Pokemon - introduced each month - to create even better decks.
CEO of Tsunekazu Ishihara, The Pokémon Company, said, "Launching these games via Facebook will allow people around the world to experience Pokémon digitally, and we will especially encourage new audiences to enjoy Pokémon games. Enables will be thrilled to team up with Facebook Gaming. " In a statement on Monday.
Facebook opened Instant Games to all developers in March 2018, allowing them to create and monetize HTML-based titles on the platform.
