YouTube Now Allows You to Search Using Voice While Casting

YouTube has rolled out several updates and features for its mobile apps for TV screens, game consoles and other streaming devices. As the official blog states, you can now use voice search on mobile devices while casting on your smart TV. The new feature allows easy search for YouTube content on TV and supports both iOS and Android devices. The company said the new feature allows users to more easily search for YouTube content on their TVs.

You can also watch YouTube in HDR on PS4 and PS4 Pro. "This feature will allow you to enjoy your favourite HDR videos with more vivid colours and contrasts," YouTube said in a statement.

According to the company, YouTube has also introduced a new Who Watching feature this year that allows users to switch between different YouTube profiles linked to the device for a personalized experience. YouTube updated the navigation menu which is displayed on the left-hand side of the screen. Users can find the account with which they are signed in, in the top-left corner, above the menu.

YouTube also launched the official YouTube app on Amazon Fire TV devices. The app also works with Alexa.

Separately, YouTube announced earlier this month that it would remove videos that insult people based on "protected characteristics" such as race, gender expression, or sexual orientation. The company is also broadening its anti-harassment policies to include "harassed or implied threats". The move came as Touquet frequently came under fire for the lax enforcement of racist content.
